The Digital Portrait Salon was a collaborative project that took place as part of ‘Cut & Colour’ – Tate Britain’s Late series exploring the social, political and cultural aspects of hair.

The space which was inspired by Black hair salons and barbershops, gave attended the opportunity to participate in a range of activities including portraits by photographer Emerzy Corbin along with digital backdrops designed by us and designer/curator Abi Wright. There was also a mindfulness station with colouring in sheets from author Andrea Pippins’ book ‘I Heart My Hair’, and a playlist of hair inspired music videos.
