To celebrate the release of adult colouring book ‘I Heart My Hair’ The:nublk was joined by Illustrator/Author Andrea Pippins at the London College of Fashion.

I Love My Hair is a hip, gorgeous doodle colouring of Braids, Coils, and Doodle Dos. The book celebrates, strong confident women and explores how beautifully diverse, stylish, innovative and fun all types of hair can be. Adult colouring has been championed as ‘the latest weapon against stress and anxiety‘.

Andrea is an artist and designer, famously known for her blog, Fly where she encourages women to enter the creative industries. She is an advocate for social justice and self-empowerment for young girls and women much of her work is inspired by social, political and cultural statements which can be made with hair.

The afternoon which began with inspiring Q&A where guests were given insight into Andrea’s journey into design, the process behind drawing the pages featured in the book and words of wisdom for aspiring designers ended with a relaxing colouring party.
