With the help of radio hosts Tasty Keish and Conscious of TK in the AM we hosted an unconventional yet very Caribbean party in the heart of Caribbean Flatbush, NYC. Patties, Red Stripe, jerk popcorn and the finest Reggae tunes were on deck for a laidback evening. We also screened Franco Rosso’s ‘Babylon’ which considering how long ago it was made – touched a chord with those who came. Similarities of racial differences and the authorities relationship with the black community were something we could both relate to. It was the perfect opportunity to share an experience of UK culture with the common theme of reggae music to bind it together.
Wrapping up the night by taking photos on our ‘Peak Blackness’ wall, sharing laughs and vibing to the dope selection of tunes played by Conscious and Mprsv Concepts
A huge thanks to TK in the AM for hosting us and to everyone who came through to celebrate, I was really touched by the love (and peak blackness) that Thenublk received 🙂
