From the director of Blitz The Ambassadors ‘Native Son’ and Pharoah Monche’s ‘Black Hand Side’ video, Brooklyn resident and filmmaker Terence Nance of MVMT  has written, directed and stars in his first feature film ‘An Oversimplification of Her Beauty.

Having worked on the film for several years, it has now been accepted into three film festivals including the world renowned Sundance, Rotterdam International and the Santa Barbara Internationl film festival.

“With arresting insight, vulnerability, and a delightful sense of humor, Terence Nance’s explosively creative debut feature, AN OVERSIMPLIFICATION OF HER BEAUTY, documents the relationship between Terence and a lovely young woman (Namik Minter) as it teeters on the divide between platonic and romantic. Utilizing a tapestry of live action and various styles of animation, Terence explores the fantasies, emotions, and memories that race through his mind during a singular moment in time.”

The project is currently seeking your support via Kickstarter where they have already secured $15,000 which will go towards making sure the film gets to as many film festivals around the world as possible.
