[spoken word] Love Poem Preview by LD Henriquez

The ‘Love Poem Preview’ video was originally a lyric I had written to an instrumental. However, I felt more gravitated towards performing it as a poem as I believed the words were powerful enough to stand on their own. The idea behind it was that I was trying to convince someone to view the possibilities that I saw for us in the future and to ‘let’ themselves fall in love, as opposed to fighting something that we both felt. The video concept was a random one, a friend, Henry Robinson (photographer/director) created whilst I was laying on my best friend, not my significant other contrary to popular belief! I just wanted to get something out there that depicted me, my words and more to come.
