If you get a chance, check out The BFI’s Mediatheque on The Southbank – I went down there for a couple of hours and checked out the gems in the ‘Black Britain’ collection. I watched a few short films, and then started browsing some of the shows that were on in the 80s and came across No Problem!
Aired on Channel 4 from 1983-85, No Problem! was a sitcom about a Jamaican family that came to England and set up their home in Willesden. The show was written by Farrukh Dhondy and Mustapha Matura.
