[Event] Neil Drumming’s Hip Hop inspired drama ‘Big Words’ to show at the BFI’s LGBT Festival

Having being screened as part of director Ava DuVernay’s AFFRM network in London last Summer, Big Words has recently been picked up to be shown as part of the BFI’s LBGT Film Festival which takes place this month.

Set amongst the backdrop of President Obama’s historic Presidential win in 2008, The members of a once-promising hip-hop group, now in their late 30’s, struggle with regret, disappointment, and change.

The film which was directed by Neil Drumming features a star studded cast including the likes of Dorian Missick (Lucky Number Slevin, Numb3rs) America’s Next Top Model’s Yaya Dacosta, rapper Jean Grae, and actor and producer Gbenga Akinnagbe (The Wire, 24) who will be taking part in a Q&A at one of the screenings.
