[Guest Post] The Coiffure Project by Glenford Nunez

At 24 years old Glenford Nunez has become some kind of a local celebrity in Baltimore, where he resides, and also worldwide. At his TYP Photography Studio, he shot a collection of stunning portraits of black women rocking natural hair, The Coiffure Project. The series is brilliant, simple, full of grace and breathless elegance. Each of the portraits has a unique flair and a strong personality, and tells a beautiful story.
The Coiffure Project was recently awarded “Best Photography Series” by the Baltimore City Paper; and some of Nunez portraits are on view at the Srathmore Art Gallery in Rockville (MD).
