TIMBUCTU STATE is a clothing line based in Los`Angeles, California. The owner and founder, Aly Kourouma aka Dj Ndebele was born in Guinea (West Africa) and is also a painter. The inspiration behind his craft comes from his obsession with the “so-called” Primitive” esthetic and its urban counterpart and his desire to bring the two together so they could learn and inspire each other and help promote a more balanced vision of our world. His goal is to reopen someday the doors of the glorious University off Timbuctu in Mali.
