[T-Shirt Tuesdays] Dee Rosa: inspired by Nigeria’s vibrant culture

UK street wear label Dee Rosa is the brainchild of London based designer/artist and DJ Juliet Nwekenta whose love for pattern design is clearly evident in her current collection.

 “I’ve always been fascinated by patterns in everyday surroundings, architecture, other designs etc. I think my Nigerian culture is where my love for patterns really began because a lot of the traditional Nigerian clothing use fabrics that are made up of pattern designs and I’ve always been fascinated by that.”

Juliet was one of the designers I met at Street Fest a couple of years ago (it’s a great place for emerging street wear brands and artists) so I’m glad we were able to connect again and showcase her work.
