[VOTE] SXSW 2012 – MULTICULTURAL TRENDS IN THE DIGITAL WORLD

Super duper excited to announce that I’ve been selected to be a speaker at next year’s SXSW Festival. The topic will be ‘Multicultural Trends in the Digital World’. I’ll be sharing the stage with 3 other panelists (Emilio Morales of La Banda Elastica, Kane Diep of documentary Uploaded: The Asian American Movement and Adrienne Pulido Primavera Strategic Planning) who’ll also be speaking on behalf of their various ethnic backgrounds with regards to the digital world and how such groups have had impacted it.

The keynote speaker for Interactive session will be Baratunde Thurston. Baratunde co-founded the black political blog, Jack & Jill Politics, serves as Director of Digital for The Onion and appears on cable news regularly to say smart things in funny ways. He is currently writing his first book, How To Be Black (Harper Collins, 2012).

His keynote address to the SXSW community will occur on Saturday, March 10, at 2pm in the afternoon. He’ll no doubt spark a thought-provoking discussion about the role of technology, comedy and satire in transforming the world around us.

SXSW is a community-driven event. So, knowing what kinds of topics you want to hear at the event next March is extremely important to us. Your votes and comments account for about 30% of the decision-making process for any given programming slot.

I promise this is the last thing I’ll ask you to vote for, lol. If you vote please leave a comment as those also help with the voting process.
