Michelle Obama speaks to students at Oxford University

I’ve been waiting for this for a while. I was at work when The First Lady (The Notorious FLOTUS) took a selection of students from the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Language College (which she visited in 2009) to Oxford University.

Her ability to inspire the students had a lot to do with her own personal experience. She spoke about her experience at Princeton and Harvard University, her kids, and Common…”he’s kinds cute!”. Clarissa Pabi, a student who also attended EGA Language College but who was now a student at Oxford University (as well as the president of the Poetry Society) also spoke about defining who you are as a person. Both women’s speeches touched not only the students but also myself…I was tweeting like crazy, lol. It was just so refreshing to hear the words of wisdom coming from a woman who is a true inspiration.

“My kids see the possibilities so they aspire to be the best. They’re no different from you.”

– Michelle Obama
